For industry
Logistics is a dynamic and rapidly growing sector. It is an intrinsic part of the Vietnamese economy. It ensures the delivery of goods and services within Vietnam and internationally.
The Logistics Industry Reference Council (LIRC) is supporting the needs of the logistics sector in Vietnam in having a highly skilled workforce – both for today’s needs and the future. This is essential to maximising the strategic advantages Vietnam offers including its location near key markets, being a young and vibrant population and an export-orientated economy reliant on efficient movement.
For schools
The LIRC is driving engagement – across industry, with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and government – to lead skills development and provide advice on current and future workforce needs.
The demand for logistics services is expected to increase significantly over the next decade, providing job opportunities in a variety of areas including business and functional management, operational roles and those for specific tasks.
There are many career pathways in the logistics sector that we will showcase, which provides students the opportunity to develop new skills and for workers to reskill or upskill to support their career journey. This includes supporting more diverse student cohorts to enable their participation in the sector.
